The Thing to do Today in San Francisco: Get Really Stoned
As I sat down to write this, my mom called to bust my balls about getting arrested for weed possession, on 4/20, when I was a junior in high school. She does that just about every year.
Yup, today is that day. You know that one where people celebrate the act of getting high by getting together and getting high. Four-fucking-Twenty. It used to be a lot of fun for me, but these days smoking herb just making me anxious and very hungry. Like Kirstie Alley hungry.
But if you’re gonna participate and you wanna do so with thousands of other people, I recommend going to either Dolores Park or Hippie Hill in Golden Gate Park at 4:20 today. I’m willing to bet that you can show up empty handed and still leave very very high.
For those of you sitting in an office, wishing you could be out enjoying the festivities, that’s a bummer. But at least you can watch this video of the 4:20 session at Hippie Hill last year.
I’m still on the fence about whether or not I’m gonna join in this year. But if I do, I guarantee that I’ll end up chowing down on some Carne Asada Fries afterwards. Happy 4:20 San Francisco!
