FREE Appetizers at Sugar Lounge

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

I discovered Sugar Lounge after they turned me down for a bartending job, which was my first indication that these people know what’s up because I was grossly under-qualified for that position.

This place is probably the best happy hour spot I’ve found in the city. They have $3 beers (this includes my baby b, Fat Tire) and $4 well drinks. Also, when I was there last they had these $5 special martinis that were probably pretty good but I can’t personally vouch for because olives are gross.

But the number one awesome thing about this bar is that they have FREE appetizers! And I’m not talking about some gross mixed nut bullshit. The chef puts out stuff like tempura, barbecue chicken, chips and salsa, and I don’t even know what else – I couldn’t see through my tears of joy.

Hustle over after work and grab a free meal. Take note: they close at 11:30 on weeknights. Under normal circumstances, I would complain about this, but I’m not about to bite the hand that feeds me.
