Thursday Night Deals on Drinks, Eats, and Other Stuff at Divisadero Art Walk

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

It’s been 3 months since the last Divisadero Art Walk and just over two weeks since the last set of freeloading drunkards rolled through my neighborhood at Bay to Breakers. I guess that means it’s June already, which also means that the Divisadero Art walk is back. And while Art Walk (as the locals call it) won’t be nearly as rowdy as Bay to Breakers it will bring a lot of people to the neighborhood for cheap drinks, food specials, and art showings at pretty much every bar, restaurant, gallery and storefront along Divis. (And some on McAllister and Fulton as well.)

As a seasoned vet of many an Art Walk I can tell you my favorite deals are:
– $2 Sangria and live music at Bluejay Cafe
– Open house and silk screening at Workshop *
– Half-off Pizza at Little Star
– Whatever’s cheap at Madrone

But you also can’t go wrong with pretty much any place that’s open and serving drinks at slightly less than usual.

Divisadero Art Walk
Thursday, June 3rd
5pm-2am
Along Divisadero from Geary to Haight [Panhandle/Western Addition]

For the full list of deals and specials, check out the official website.

Andrew Dalton - Aggressive Panhandler

Andrew is an East Coast transplant from Virginia hamming it up in San Francisco without any intention of leaving. Having worked every typical job from Bike Shop Employee to Bartender to Ad Agency Hotshot, to Dotcom Layoff he now busts his ass covering the "weird things to do" beat for gracious local audiences at SFAppeal.com and rallies the Western Addy/Lower Haight/Panhandle neighborhoods into action at AggressivePanhandler.com. His work was published in a real, paper magazine one time. One day he might even figure out how to make money from it.
