Nine Pint Sized Plays for FREE!

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

$28 for a beer!?! That shit better come with a "will get you laid" guarantee

As we’ve seen over the past few years, Cafe Royale does some pretty friggin cool events, and tonight is a perfect example.  For the next three Mondays, you can catch the San Francisco Theatre Pub’s Pint Sized Plays at the afore mentioned place that does figgin cool events.  What are “Pint Sized Plays”?  I’m so glad you asked.  According to the website the festival “showcases a diversity of styles and voices, but with one common thread '“ all plays are finished in the time it takes to drink a beer.”

The shortness of these plays is perfect for those of you who ran out of your ADD meds and haven’t had a chance to refill them yet (which reminds me, I gotta stop by Walgreens).  At this point I guess the question becomes: since each play is the length of a beer, does that mean you’re gonna drink nine beers?  Only you can answer that question young padawan but my suggestion is trying to negotiate a bulk rate with the bartender.  Hey, I’m not saying it’s a good suggestion, but it is a suggestion nonetheless.

Here is a list of the plays:

PIGS
written by Elena McKernan, directed by Meg O’Connor

POUND IT

QUEEN MAB IN DRAG
