Hear Some Terrifying Stories at Muni Diaires Live This Friday

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

If the story sucks, someone gets thrown under the bus.

It’s the week before Halloween, which means things just start to seem a little spookier than usual around San Francisco, and there’s nothing more terrifying in Fog Town’s collective subconscious than our city’s evil transit agency. That means it’s perfect timing for Muni Diaries to throw another Muni Diaries Live! event at the Make-Out Room.

If you didn’t make it to their past events then you missed out a couple hours of burlesque, penis puppets, and telling Muni horror stories while under the influence. At this Friday’s event story tellers, writers, literary death match winners and comedians from notable places like Fray Magazine and the Rumpus will be telling you all about some nutty stuff that happened to them on a bus and/or a light rail vehicle. The cover is only $5 and Tara the Sea Shanty Songstress will be there to serenade you with a song about Ocean Beach, probably.

Andrew Dalton - Aggressive Panhandler

Andrew is an East Coast transplant from Virginia hamming it up in San Francisco without any intention of leaving. Having worked every typical job from Bike Shop Employee to Bartender to Ad Agency Hotshot, to Dotcom Layoff he now busts his ass covering the "weird things to do" beat for gracious local audiences at SFAppeal.com and rallies the Western Addy/Lower Haight/Panhandle neighborhoods into action at AggressivePanhandler.com. His work was published in a real, paper magazine one time. One day he might even figure out how to make money from it.
