Happy Hour at Olive

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

If someone’s going to coax me into traipsing through the streets of Little Saigon, sidestepping crack pies and used condoms, they better be taking me somewhere worth it. Enter: happy hour at Olive.

From 5-7pm, you can munch on artisan pizzas for $8, as well as stuff like pomme frites, sweet potato fries, salads, and other stuff I haven’t actually tried because I can’t tear myself away from that pizza crust. And the house cocktails? They’re $5 and so strong your face will go numb after imbibing only one or two, just the way God intended.

Word to the wise: Sidestepping aforementioned crack pies and used condoms becomes a bit of a task after you leave Olive’s happy hour, so perhaps consider wearing your annoying roommate’s shoes on this outing.

Rebecca graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Literature, but she tells everyone she majored in Psychology so they don't ask her for book recommendations. She likes coffee, pickles, free yoga classes, and spends a lot of time with her dog.
