"Bargain Bites" Restaurants in SF

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Leaving a(n empty) oven on can only warm your apartment up so much and does nothing to assuage an empty stomach. And as the old adage goes: empty stomach, empty oven equals a one-way ticket to Unhappy Town. (Or something like that.) So might I suggest perusing the San Francisco Chronicle’s list of “Bargain Bites.” It is sure to have a restaurant worth coming out of hibernating for. Or temporarily crawling out from the covers to answer the door for the delivery guy. I’m pretty sure you haven’t given him a key … yet.

Jessica was born, moved around a lot and has an odd dialect to prove it (see: hella, bubbler, and cawfee), and is now precariously settled in SF. Despite graduating high school too many years ago to count, she was crowned Prom Queen this summer and considers her life complete now. Last year her production editing job was outsourced to the Philippines. Hope they like it. Luckily for you, this Lady of Leisure is currently accepting applications for the position of Wealthy Benefactor.
