Watch Local Celebrities Match Wits for Charity at MatchGameSF

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

I think Chris Daly has to compete to win the affection of Sister Roma?

Adding to our city’s obsession with all things retro (roller derby, ice cream parlors, sunglasses, that one store in the Mission that only sells vintage basketball jerseys) is a new charity fundraiser in the form of a TV Quiz Show. Featuring some notable and notorious local celebrities who will be competing to win prizes for charity, MatchGameSF happens tomorrow night, January 21st at Cellspace in the Mission. Former SF Supervisor and current bar owner Chris Daly will be there, bringing the ruckus as usual. And Broke-Ass Pal Johnny Funcheap will be there representing all the kids in the cheap seats. And speaking of cheap seats, if you buy your tickets ahead of time you’ll save a couple bucks when you throw in the code “MatchWeb”. Everybody wins!

Andrew Dalton - Aggressive Panhandler

Andrew is an East Coast transplant from Virginia hamming it up in San Francisco without any intention of leaving. Having worked every typical job from Bike Shop Employee to Bartender to Ad Agency Hotshot, to Dotcom Layoff he now busts his ass covering the "weird things to do" beat for gracious local audiences at SFAppeal.com and rallies the Western Addy/Lower Haight/Panhandle neighborhoods into action at AggressivePanhandler.com. His work was published in a real, paper magazine one time. One day he might even figure out how to make money from it.
