Win Tickets to Pomplamoose Show at CELLspace Tomorrow!

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

The Disposable Film Festival, one of my favorite events in the city, is back!  It kicked off last night in the Castro, but don’t worry if you missed it — the rest of this year’s lineup is super awesome and features lots of cool, FREE stuff (like Sunday’s FREE brunch and panel discussion at Oddball Film + Video).

What I’m EXTRA stoked about, though, is that YouTube indie darlings Pomplamoose are performing at CELLspace on Saturday night.  If you don’t know them, check this out and then go buy tickets here.  They’re $12, which is cheaper than most shows and totally worth it, but there is an Option No. 2 — email christy@brokeassstuart.com for the chance to win a pair of tickets!  Also at CELLspace on Saturday will be a DIY filmmaking workshop, so this is really like a two-for-one type of event, or BOGO, as my beloved Payless would say.

Pomplamoose Live Show & DIY Filmmaking Workshop at CELLspace 2050 Bryant St. (btwn 18th & 19th) [Mission] Saturday, March 26, 8pm $12 (or FREE if you’re a lucky bastard and win the giveaway)

Christy Jovanelly - Cheapskate Commentator

When Christy announced she was leaving her family's Southern California home and moving to San Francisco, her mom said, "Have fun in that den of sin." This is the only (however sarcastic) advice Christy has ever taken from her mom, who also told her to join eharmony.com and cover her eyes during sex scenes in movies. Christy puts her creative writing degree to good use by locating the typos on Chinese food menus and spends most of her time challenging friends to all-you-can-eat contests and trying to get that one bartender at Zeitgeist to smile.
