FREE School Teaches You Belly Dancing, is FREE

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

belly-dance-san-francisco

Did you guys know about this little collective called “The Free School“? It’s just what it sounds like: It offers FREE classes and collaborations on a contribution basis. So if you have something you’re willing to teach for FREE, you should totally let them know. But today we’re going to address the Basics of Belly Dance, a FREE class held every Monday (for now). Did I mention this shit is FREE?

Belly dancing was a huge fitness craze for a while, right? Although I’m not sure whether that’s died down, it’s still a pretty good workout for your upper body and core, not to mention your cardio. It’s totally fun and sexy, too, I promise. While other belly dancing classes in this city cost $10 or more per class, this one is FREE! So go get your belly dance on this afternoon, and surprise someone special with it tonight — at no cost to you! Or keep it all to yourself. See if I care.

Sarah M. Smart - Red-Light Special

Sarah M. Smart was summoned into being on a distant ice cream planet
through an unholy union of Two-Buck Chuck and unicorns. They sent her to Indianapolis and then the University of Missouri's School of Journalism
to spread peace and big hair. Perpetually in mourning for the comma, she
has worked for a variety of print media, including Indianapolis
Monthly
, Global Journalist, and Vox. Since moving
to San Francisco for the booming dumpster-diving scene, she has been an
online operative for such fine folks as Horoscope.com , Neo-Factory, and
Academy of Art University. After a day of cat-feeding, hat-making,
dog-walking, vegan baking, and daydreaming about marrying rich, all she
wants is a margarita as big as her face.
