FREE Tribute to Jimi at Amoeba Tonight

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

To say we don’t all love Hendrix would be untrue. He is arguably the greatest guitarist of all time; better than even SRV and Slow Hand. Come celebrate the release of Jimi Hendrix Experience Winterland at Amoeba on Tuesday, September 13 at 7:00p.m.

Back in October of 1968 Jimi and company played several shows at our very own Winterland Ballroom which unfortunately closed in the late seventies. Led by Janie Hendrix, Jimi’s sister, and Bootsy Collins, a funk legend all his own, Tuesday night is sure to be a great time. Bootsy will be signing copies of Jimi’s soon to be released album. There will also be video clips of Jimi being played throughout the evening. For more information check out the details here.

Come out to Amoeba this Tuesday for a FREE tribute to a legendary musician and visionary. It will be well worth the trip.
