Broke-Ass of the Week – DJ Sake One

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Every week we feature a different person from the community shedding a little light on their life of brokeitude.  Who knows, maybe you’ll learn something about the human spirit…probably not.

Wanna be a Broke-Ass of the Week?  Holler at us here and we’ll send you the questionnaire.

I’ve seen DJ Sake One‘s name gracing the flyers and posters all over The City ever since I moved to San Francisco 10 years ago. He’s one of The City’s most popular DJ’s and he’s actually really good at DJing which is rarer than you’d think. When I asked him what he’d like me to include in this intro he said:

“DJ Sake One is one of the West Coast’s best and most respected DJs. Catch him every thursday at ULTRAWAVE at Somar Bar in Oakland. Instagram: @sake1derful
