Broke-asses, do I have your attention?

Season of Savings will give two of you lucky bastards each a pair of tickets to Superior Donuts, the new Broadway play from the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning author of August: Osage County.  Described by the playwright Tracy Letts as “a love letter to Chicago,” Superior Donuts is about the unlikely friendship of an ex-hippie donut shop owner and his intelligent and brash young African-American employee.  To sweeten the give-away deal, Season of Savings has also included two $100 gift certificates to family style Italian restaurant Tony’s DiNapoli.

Basically, Season of Savings is a discounts book and website for numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, parking garages, hotels and other New York City attractions.  They offer discounts such as $52 ticket coupons to FELA!, $55 ticket coupons to HAIR, and $45 ticket coupons to In The Heights, among other steep discounts of up to 55% off of The 39 Steps, Burn the Floor, Bye Bye Birdie, Chicago, Finian’s Rainbow, Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, Next to Normal, The Phantom of the Opera, Rock of Ages, Shrek the Musical, South Pacific, Superior Donuts, and Wishful Drinking.  The timing of discounts for the shows ranges from August 30 '“ December 20.  Check out all the details on www.SeasonofSavings.com.  Download the book HERE to take advantage of their deals.  We all know regular Broadway tickets are completely out of our budget, but these deals make the prices palatable, and your patronage keeps the New York institution of arts and Broadway Theater alive!

Danielle was raised by a pack of coyotes in the Los Angeles hills. Since arriving in NY in 2001, she has had any number of strange jobs, including back-up singing for JELVIS (the Jewish Elvis), starting the non-profit LYDIA, and writing political cabarets. A huge advocate for travel as a way of life, you can find her at the Brooklyn Public Library when her bank account is empty, fantasizing about where to head off to next.

I took an iPhone photo of a color photocopy of a photograph of an oil painting of three African children that I painted and sold in highschool. It’s been 8 years since I’ve painted, but I have gotten really creative at how I push buttons!

Ironically, one time I ate a dozen donuts to get tickets to a police fundraiser concert that a local band was playing at. The band wasn’t even that great, I just really love donuts.

In don’t usually comment on things, but I’m desperate for some Bway tix. I’ve also lied about being with the press to get into a show before… Desperate… and super sneaky.

I tried calling a radio station numerous of times doing different voices trying to say the funniest things so I could win tickets to see the And 1 basketball game. Some of the guys from the show where at the station and where taking calls and giving out tickets. So I kept calling in. I even said one of the guys had ashy lips and needed Chap Stick. The guys where rolling at that one. I was like I’d bring him some chap stick, then they where like okay do it. Thing was I forgot I was going out of town to visit family. Ooppssss 🙂

A missed opportunity. I don’t want to miss this one. So I’m crossing my fingers that I get some tickets.
