FREE Food, Music and Mingling with theSet NYC

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

I wasn’t in San Francisco during the dot com bubble but I heard there were FREE parties almost every night where you could eat and drink to your hearts content.  All the stories I’ve hear make it sound like it was pretty ridiculous and that’s exactly how I feel about December.  For fuck sake, I think this year it might kill me.  Can there be too much of a good thing?  No I didn’t think so.

Tomorrow theSet NYC is throwing its hat into the ring with a holiday party that all of you lovely little broke-asses will enjoy.  If you remember theSet NYC is a monthly FREE or super cheap event that showcases an eclectic mix of performers including singers, spoken word artists, dancers, musicians, actors and magicians who all compete against each other.  It’s kinda like a broke-ass Star Search.

Anyway, tomorrow’s party will feature some live acts, some DJs and dancing, and most importantly FREE food.  Plus there will be a 2-for-1 drink special from 9-10pm. If you are a performer of sorts (does public sex count?) this is a great opportunity to do some networking, and by that I mean possibly getting laid.  If you do, I wanna hear all about it.
