Vintage paper flowers

The San Francisco Vintage Paper Fair comes around every few months, but I’m going to go ahead and say I still had no idea what it was. Vintage Paper? Like old posters? Or like Grandpa’s old letters to Grandma? Or maybe just the soggy brown bags from malt liquors passed? As it turns out, it can be pretty much any paper ephemera, whether it was previously printed on or not (Thanks, Google!)

The more DIY-inclined amongst you can probably find a lot of rad paper products to fashion into handmade books of poetry, or coasters with old roadmaps of Route 66, or something just as adorable to sell at Indie Mart. Seriously, between the Vintage Paper fair and the next Gem & Mineral show at the Cow Palace, you’ll have enough supplies to weather this recession with the profits from your Etsy page alone.

January 9-10th, Saturday 10am – 6pm, Sunday 10am – 4pm

Andrew Dalton - Aggressive Panhandler

Andrew Dalton - Aggressive Panhandler

Andrew is an East Coast transplant from Virginia hamming it up in San Francisco without any intention of leaving. Having worked every typical job from Bike Shop Employee to Bartender to Ad Agency Hotshot, to Dotcom Layoff he now busts his ass covering the "weird things to do" beat for gracious local audiences at SFAppeal.com and rallies the Western Addy/Lower Haight/Panhandle neighborhoods into action at AggressivePanhandler.com. His work was published in a real, paper magazine one time. One day he might even figure out how to make money from it.
