Battle it out in Nora’s Court Tonight

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

What do you do when….

Someone runs into you and makes you drop your iPod but they won’t pay for the repairs.

Your friend still owes you money from that time you spotted them to get into Six Flags and you think that they’ve taken so long to pay you back that you deserve interest.

Your favorite drunk friend spills wine on your comforter but won’t pay dry cleaning.

DISPUTE IT WITH A REAL LIVE [FAKE BUT INFORMED] JUDGE AT A BAR OF COURSE!

A lady named Nora is doing this hilarious event at Pete’s Candy Store called Nora’s Court. It’s a social court for New Yorkers that she derived from watching People’s Court all day.   She’s done it once to great acclaim and tonight is your chance to see another!

FREE admission at Pete’s Candy Store.  See five cases tonight with both real people and fantastic actors/improv-ers.  Each winning case gets a free fancy drink and bragging rights.

Danielle Levanas - Bargain Soul Huntress

Danielle was raised by a pack of coyotes in the Los Angeles hills. Since arriving in NY in 2001, she has had any number of strange jobs, including back-up singing for JELVIS (the Jewish Elvis), starting the non-profit LYDIA, and writing political cabarets. A huge advocate for travel as a way of life, you can find her at the Brooklyn Public Library when her bank account is empty, fantasizing about where to head off to next.
