As I write this I find I am having a little bit of a crisis of conscience.  That is because I am recommending that people go see stand-up comedy at The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn on March 7th at nine pm.  It is not because I didn’t enjoy myself when I went a few weeks ago, I did.  It is not that The Knitting Factory is not cool.  It is.  It is not that those ladies and gents weren’t funny.  They were. My crisis comes when I tell you that the whole evening of comedy is FREE.  That is just not right.  These people should be PAID for this!

Oh wait, many of them work for Saturday Night Live.

And the Universe has righted itself.

Christine Witmer - Sparing Stringer

Christine was born and raised in the land of the Pilgrims, Plymouth, Massachusetts. She turned in her buckled shoes when she moved to NYC to attend NYU. From that esteemed University she received her BFA in theatre as well as a Master's Degree in Performance Studies in 2004.
Now an actor, writer and broke ass day-jobber, Christine juggles her many personas with the elegance of a red panda. specifically the one in the Prospect Park Zoo . . . soooooo cute! She can be found most often in her own habitat on the Northside of Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
