Come To The Indie Mart This Sunday!
Okay, it’s been awhile since you heard, er, read my voice but I figured you missed me. Didn’t you? You keep thinking, “Where is Monica the Intern?” Right? I knew it.
But I digress. The real reason I showed back up here on this little soapbox is to tell you all about an event that is close to our hearts here at Broke Ass HQ. It started in Kelly’s little backyard in the Mission and has now grown to become one of the most famous festivals in the city. The Indie Mart is back and ready to kick your ass more than ever, and we’re stoked to see all your faces again, both old and new. The 3rd Year Anniversary Party we’ve got together is sure to blow every birthday party you’ve ever been to out of the water.
Our 100+ designer crop is guaranteed to make you wet your jeans [we all know you can’t afford underwear] and eat plastic just a little longer. We have some rad bands in store for you, including our personal favorite, Music For Animals. We will have puppies from Wonder Dog Rescue running around, tables for snacking on all the rad food from Thee Parkside Kitchen and our favorite foodies and demos on the hour, every hour, from our little partner biz, Workshop. And, as always, there will be DJ’s spinning, cheap stiff drinks and hot girls and boys walking around for you to admire.
Also, did we mention our favorite part? Mai, our favorite local sartorial shutterbug from Fashion.ist, will be on hand and taking pictures of all of your rad outfits. We are so fucking stoked to have her!
So come by, drink a little, shop a little, flirt a little and have a rad ass time! I will be running around, slinging back drinks and praying that I don’t get whiskey on my dress. And of course Stu will be there slanging shits, bags, and books. Hope to see all of you there!
