Mission Bay Farmers Market Rules!

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

The Mission Bay Farmers Market down by UCSF is officially the best kept farmers market secret in San Francisco. I went down this past Wednesday to grab my usual fancy goat cheese and cherries and walked away with two FREE Giants tickets! Unbeknownst to me, I had been entered in a lottery just for spending a couple bucks. I was talking to the market manager and he let me in on their new frequent shopper deal too. He gives you a little market gift card and every five times you stop by, you get free schwag like mugs, reusable totes, a nifty canteen (my favorite, personally), and “carrot cash,” which are FREE market food stamps that all the vendors accept as real cash! They’re practically paying you to take their food!

This market is in a somewhat isolated part of town where there aren’t a lot of residents, which is probably why the people who do actually make it out here get treated so well. I highly suggest you come out and take advantage while the gettin’s still good.
