Cheap Chinese Delivery from Wild Pepper

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Ordering Chinese takeout isn’t the best way to save pennies, but you know what it’s like to be so broke that you can’t even afford to care. When I have days like that, I stay home and eat my feelings.

This photo is from Big Lantern because Wild Pepper only has pictures of its menu on its Yelp biz page. Their food looks and tastes the same so it's cool.

Like Cheapskate Commentator Christy, Big Lantern will always be my boo, but sometimes you gotta stray to really appreciate the one you love. That’s why I hit up Wild Pepper. While the food isn’t quite as good, it’s a smidgen cheaper and also has free delivery. The portions are humongous and you’ll easily get at least two meals out of them '“ unless you plan to camp out in front of your TV to watch the Real Housewives of New York reunion special all night. If that’s the case, you’ll probably end up stress eating through Kelly’s psychotic babbling and Luann’s off-key singing. But if that happens, don’t worry about it; you earned this one.

Wild Pepper does have a tendency to mess up your order, which is annoying but not a deal breaker. The food all sort of tastes the same once you douse it in sweet and sour sauce anyway. I’ll bet you a crab rangoon you ultimately won’t care.
