Step Right Up and Go to the Marin County Fair

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

County fairs are one of my favorite things about summer.  Call me crazy, but the combination of fast rides, funnel cake, caramel apples, games and carnies makes me feel like I’m 11 again, which in this case, is a good thing.  It has been a long time since I got my carnival on, but Thursday night I took an epic journey to the Marin Country Fair and all of my childhood dreams came true.

First off, I saw Wilson Phillips perform, and the five-year-old in me can now die happy (shut up haters, you know you play 'œHold On' when you’re feeling low).  After the show I gorged myself on carnival treats, then tried not to barf on the rides.  It was awesome.

All this fun and more can be yours for a mere $15 admission fee!  That $15 buys you  unlimited FREE carnival rides, FREE admission to any of the entertainment and hours of funnel cake fun!  The fair runs through Monday, so grab your friends, split a Zipcar, and board the Gravitron!  Do it for me!  Do it for '˜merica!

Alison Lambert - Half Price Headliner

Ali was born and raised in the Wholesome/Creepy capital of the world, Salt Lake City, UT. Once she was old enough to blow that pop stand she escaped to the place that was the anti-SLC: The Peoples Gay-public of Drugifornia aka San Francisco (holla 30 Rock!). You can now find her throughout this glorious city slurping Pho and scheming with her best friend Pinky doing what they do every night; try and take over the world.
