A Taste of Greece – San Francisco Greek Food Festival

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

The San Francisco Greek Food Festival is one of the most elusive events I have ever encountered. For the past few months, in an act of probably overzealous anticipation, I have been scouring the interwebs looking for clues as to the dates and deets on my most favorite of food fests.

Despite my professional sleuthing, I only managed to sniff out one source of seemingly trustworthy information. Finally, about a week ago, I spotted the poster in a window, confirming all my hopes and dreams! Just when I thought things couldn’t get any better, I discovered the FREE admission pass you can print off of their website. I love the Greeks.

This Saturday and Sunday, come with me to gorge yourself on the deliciousness that is Greek food (oh and dancing, goods, cultural fun stuff, etc.). San Francisco is seriously lacking in good, cheap Greek treats and this is your chance to overeat to the point that you can’t think of a Gyro without throwing up a little…until next year at that is!

Ali was born and raised in the Wholesome/Creepy capital of the world, Salt Lake City, UT. Once she was old enough to blow that pop stand she escaped to the place that was the anti-SLC: The Peoples Gay-public of Drugifornia aka San Francisco (holla 30 Rock!). You can now find her throughout this glorious city slurping Pho and scheming with her best friend Pinky doing what they do every night; try and take over the world.
