Free Sake + Cute Luggage = Happy Times!

You know that store you always walk by on Valencia on the way to Dolores Park or El Toro Taqueria that has the roll-y type luggage with the super cute designs, like waves or flowers, and you always think how fun it looks inside, but never go in because some d-bag is waiting for you and your six-pack of PBRs on a very dirty picnic blanket?

Well, this Saturday is the day you will finally enter Hideo Wakamatsu (bet you didn’t know that was the name of the store, did you?)!  The main reason:  FREE sake from 12pm – 7pm.  The secondary reason:  The sixth anniversary of the store, meeting the designer himself, Hideo, and 20% discounts on regularly-priced luggage.  You know you need something other than that High Sierra bag you got three years ago from eBay that’s falling apart, so why not go for something stylish?  And I’m sure that sake will have something to do with the credit card you throw down.  It’s all about the freebies, baby.

FREE Sake at Hideo Wakamatsu Saturday, October 16th, 12pm – 7pm 563 Valencia St. (btwn 16th & 17th St.) [Mission]

Christy Jovanelly - Cheapskate Commentator

When Christy announced she was leaving her family's Southern California home and moving to San Francisco, her mom said, "Have fun in that den of sin." This is the only (however sarcastic) advice Christy has ever taken from her mom, who also told her to join eharmony.com and cover her eyes during sex scenes in movies. Christy puts her creative writing degree to good use by locating the typos on Chinese food menus and spends most of her time challenging friends to all-you-can-eat contests and trying to get that one bartender at Zeitgeist to smile.
