BangOnNYC! Haunted Warehouse Party

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

I was thinking I could do a whole round-up of cheap Halloween events going on this weekend but then became quickly overwhelmed by the number of all the festivities going down. Most of these epic parties cost a little somethin somethin to get it, but then again, will your friend’s house party have a dominatrix and a zip line?, I think not.

Bring your costume A-game to BangOn!NYC’s Haunted Warehouse Party and win year-long bragging rights and $100. I don’t think my Agent Scully costume is thinking too far out of the box but at least I’ll be wearing some comfortable 90’s inspired chunky footwear. Be sure to start a buddy system so you don’t lose your friends in this giant tricked out warehouse complete with ghoulish decor, undead performance art, and “haunted bathrooms” whatever that means. Did I mention the part about giant swings? Yes lots of swings, take note. While this seasonal bash ain’t free, it’s still only $12 if you buy your tickets early or before 11pm. And even though paying covers is a drag, at least it’s all going to a good cause, with a portion of the proceeds going towards the NYC chapter of ACLU. Happy Halloween!

Five Horrible Halloween Ideas

Laura S - Spendthrift Scribe

Laura S, left the "sixth borough" three years ago to settle in Brooklyn. After working at some daily rags, she now does writing on the side but still eats more Ramen then necessary. When she's not moving residences every 6 months, eating her way through every neighborhood, and trying every microbrew known to man, she is unsuccessfully rediscovering home economics. With her binging days behind her, she's now exploring new projects and rediscovering the city that she loves (although is still prone to sliding on her knees during a Prince karaoke set).
