FREE “Rockstar” Makeovers for New Year’s Eve at Macy’s

I think the word “rockstar” is grossly overused.  I mean who really wants to be a rockstar anymore anyways.  To me the word conjures images of cocaine problems, lycra bodysuits, eyeliner and whiskey dick.  Or wait, maybe I’m just thinking of David Lee Roth.

Anyways, if you do categorize yourself as one who is in need of looking like a rockstar for New Year’s Eve, Macy’s has the hookup.  Here’s the details:

Get your makeup dolled up for the big night by pro artist Angelica of CARGO cosmetics. Bookings will be available from 1-6pm at Macy’s Union Square in the Impulse Cosmetic department on the first floor.

*  Each appointment will take about 30 mins.
*  Makeover and lesson included and free eyeliner given to all who book appointments.
*  Everyone who books an appointment will be entered to win a goodie bag filled with a ton of CARGO beauty products.

Email gel.cargo@gmail.com to book an appointment. Spaces are limited.

Hat tip to Johnny Funcheap.

Broke-Ass Stuart - Editor In Cheap

I've been called "an Underground legend": SF Chronicle , "an SF cult hero": SF Bay Guardian, and "the chief of cheap": Time Out New York, but to those familiar with my work, I'm just "that douchebag who writes books about cheap stuff and drinks a lot".

FYI, this isn’t free. I emailed someone about this, and they said one detail that was missing over at Johnny Funcheap is that you have to buy TWO ITEMS in order to get this “free” makeover.

Turns out the first 10 people to sign up were totally free… but everyone after that was required to have a two item purchase to make an appointment. The promoters of this event told me the entire event was free, but changed their minds and didn’t tell me. Sorry for the hassle!
