FREE Movie Screening at Angelika

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

So, have you heard of this movie called Home? It’s a documentary from French photojournalist Yann Arthus-Bertrand who, with his crew, flew around in a helicopter taking aerial pictures of different regions in over fifty countries for eighteen months. Why, you ask? To very tangibly show the biological inter-dependency (there’s a proper word for this, but I can’t fucking remember it right now) between all species on earth. Specifically, though, through amazing Planet Earth-like footage, he explores how one dominant species (us, humans) has totally fucked everything up for ourselves/the planet. But, like, you know, it’s physical, actual proof……that you can see for yourself FOR FREE at Angelika.

All you have to do is buy your tickets on Fandango and type in the “NYCHOME” promotional code, and you should be all set. Click on that link, though for more detail.

So, next time some asshole tries to tell you that global warming doesn’t exist, you can tell them to go fuck themselves and go back to their Holocaust-denying message boards even more so after seeing this film. And if you are one of those reality-denier types, at least you can admire the film for the amazing cinematography.

The screening is at Cinema Village East — not the Angelika.
