Beats and Boardgames Tonight

Sign Up for the Dopest Events Newsletter in the Bay Area

Ever feel like being totally nerdy, but still cool at the same time? Looks like you’re not alone. Hang out with other creatures with the same mindset tonight at Langton Labs. The monthly event, called Beats and Boardgames, is FREE and it’s just what you’ve been looking for.

That’s right – DJs play beats, you play games. Bounce to the beat while playing from the Labs’ selection of games like: Scrabble, Boggle, Connect Four, Race for the Galaxy, Apples to Apples, etc. You are also welcome to bring your own games or cards. If you’re feeling really nerdy-cool, you can even invent your own game for tonight. I’ll buy a beer for anyone who brings Twister, for some late night ambient configurations….

Enjoy some snacks and drinks while mingling with a new crowd. Just don’t use that freaky, gobliny Dungeons and Dragons voice to introduce yourself to your Crazy 8 opponent– that is not the theme we’re aiming for here. If you do happen to meet one of those guys, just tune him out, and tune into the live music. Here’s the lineup for tonight:
