Dig Out Your Short Shorts, High Line Rink is Coming!

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

The other day, “West Coast Boys” was looping in my head and then BAM I heard it on the radio. That same day, my friend and I were talking about how badly we wanted to go roller skating and then WOOSH into my inbox comes the announcement that an open air rolling rink is opening under the High Line this Thursday! Unfortunately nothing happened when I spent the rest of the day thinking about the government forgetting about my student loan balance though.

The High Line Rink is going to be a part of The Lot, The High Line’s new something-for-everyone type space that hosts food trucks, free events, and apparently now a way for you to rollerblade in public without your friends making fun of you. The regular admission to the High Line Rink will cost $10 for children under age 13 and $12 for adults, but admission will be FREE for the first 500 people on the first two days of operation (July 28th & 29th) thanks to UNIQLO.
