In God We Trust Williamsburg Opening Party

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

One of the most beloved boutiques in Williamsburg (and Greenpoint for that matter, In God We Trust, has traded up their old Wythe Ave location and is celebrating their new bigger and brighter spot on Bedford Ave. While IGWT, isn’t exactly broke-ass friendly, they do have sales and throw parties all the time, so as to make their quality wares more affordable for everyone.

Along with their usual men’s and women’s apparel, the store is also chocked full of unique homewares, and shiny trinkets. Due to their amazing unisex offerings, it’s really the only store you will see guys shopping with their girlfriends who don’t look like they’re in the 7th circle of hell.

To celebrate their new location, they’ll be offering raffle prizes, free Sweet Nothing necklaces with any $40 purchase,  and hosting an open bar at The Soft Spot next door from 7:00-9:00pm. If there was ever a reason to spring for some new duds, this would be a good one.

Laura S - Spendthrift Scribe

Laura S, left the "sixth borough" three years ago to settle in Brooklyn. After working at some daily rags, she now does writing on the side but still eats more Ramen then necessary. When she's not moving residences every 6 months, eating her way through every neighborhood, and trying every microbrew known to man, she is unsuccessfully rediscovering home economics. With her binging days behind her, she's now exploring new projects and rediscovering the city that she loves (although is still prone to sliding on her knees during a Prince karaoke set).
