FREE Opera at AT&T Park this Weekend

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

While it appears that our Giants will not be playing into October this season, you can enjoy that beautiful ballpark by the bay for FREE this weekend.  I have attempted to get into Opera, and by attempted I mean I have fallen asleep at an Opera performance at least twice, however I love AT&T Park more than some of my peripheral family members.

Events like this are great because it allows you to experience the San Francisco opera without the expense and feathered hats that you’d have to endure if you headed down to the opera house.  All the while sitting comfortably in the most beautiful ballpark in the country.  It’s kinda like you get to enjoy one of our city’s gems while sitting inside another one of our city’s gems, (just got meta on you).

Hugh Hunter - Economical Essayist

Hugh was born in Boston, but managed to escape to the Bay Area before acquiring that ridiculous accent. Growing up in Marin, Hugh joined the throngs of suburbanites that dream of being rock stars and movie gods only to end up in a well appointed cubicle. Now Hugh lives in San Francisco and casually ignores his environmental studies degree, choosing to write comedy and eat burritos instead.
