Free Parking Party Today!

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

This Friday, February 10th,  Big Umbrella Studios brings you their newest show. Big Umbrella is collective gallery and work space for up and coming talent. The show is called “Free Parking.” It’s a pretty original name, considering they ripped that right off a Monopoly board. If your looking for something different to do this Friday, this may be right up your alley

The idea behind the show is simple. If you drive, or have driven, in San Francisco chances are you’re well acquainted with those three wheeled, glorified mopeds of doom, otherwise known as the DPT Parking Enforcement Warriors of Virtue and Justice. The best part of these chance encounters is always finding out how much you now owe the city of SF for parking in one of its fine spaces. This usually puts people in a shitty mood because they are pissed off they can’t buy those new shoes they wanted – because they have to pay their freakin’ parking ticket. So BUS has decided to give you one of those things, art work for the cost of San Francisco’s best parking tickets. That means most art pieces are going for $55! Suck it DPT!

Come enjoy some cool art an try some late night snacks from Bi Bim Bop Pop Up. Cori will be serving up Bi Bim Bop Burgers – put an egg on it!
