D-Structure Presents: “The Beard Hunter” by Juliann Brown

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

“Is it possible to comment on the current state of fashion, culture, and the economy through the careful observation of men’s beards? ” This was the question asked by Juliann Brown as she took to the streets of our great city. Using the CC (Chris Cringle) Rating System, what Juliann finds is pretty damn cool.

D-Structure San Francisco will serve as host for “The Beard Hunter” launch party on Friday, March 9 beginning at 8:00p.m. The party will be complete with booze, music, and, of course, copies of Juliann’s book. Entry is entirely FREE. Come on out and show some love for one of your own! It is sure to be a great time.

As a beard wearer myself – Right on, Juliann. Right on.

Is there limitations with this for someone who isn’t an American? (ie, legally lives and works in SF, but doesn’t yet have a green card, but in the process of it)

fuck this article..fuck ed Lee and fuck this website…you calling your self broke asses and make over 54k a year..y’all lala land people if you think that is poor..y’all ain’t the heart and soul of abumch of upper middle class as holes who are so selfish and greedy that you would accept any type of housing subsidy over a person who makes less than 50k who actually needs it. I was making 25 or 30k annually I would feel like a blood suckingcscum bag for entering any type of housing lottery and applying for a housing subsidy..y’all don’t know what being a broke ass really means..not a freaking clue

Firstly, there are middle class folks who work really hard to make their $54k in this city and should not be put down because they WORK. Secondly, this is an article about BMR Ownership. There are also many BMR RENTALS which are much less expensive, with 50% AMI (Area median income) or less, for exactly working class folks and those who don’t qualify for homeownership… In order to get a loan from any lender these days, you need to prove you can pay your loan back. Lastly, there ARE social programs that exist to battle these exact issues: They are called Social Security/Disability as well as homeless shelters for the homeless (albeit there are 16,000 homeless in SF)… It is those same middle class folks you call greedy and blood sucking scumbags, whose hard earned $54k make those programs possible with their tax dollars which pay for allll those services listed…. douche.

Hi Stuart! Great guide. Any idea if the salary requirements include only straight up wages, or other benefits (bonus, etc) as well?
