The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Fans of New York’s own dance-punk band, LCD Soundsystem will be thrilled about this event. LCD Soundsystem’s “Shut Up and Play The Hits” will be screening at the Brooklyn Bowl. The documentary styled film covers the final performance, of the now defunct band’s farewell at Madison Square Garden on April 2nd, 2011. The film will bring fans closer to James Murphy, as he leads us through “the lead-up to the show, the day after, and the personal and professional ramifications of his decision.” No fan of LCD Soundsystem will want to miss this special event in Brooklyn.

Pat Mahoney of DFA/LCD Soundsystem will be making an appearance, as well as DJ Em Math. The doors will open at 11:30pm. Advance tickets are already sold out, so you will want to arrive early as tickets are limited and they are on a first come, first serve basis. You will be limited to one ticket per customer, at $15 a ticket and no re-entry. Please bring cash with you, folks.

Have a great weekend, broke-asses!!

Enrique Grijalva - Mr. Minimum Wage

My father came, my mother saw...and I conquered. I encourage children to do drugs, I buy alcohol for teenagers, and I drink beer with the homeless. In my spare time, I attend art galleries for the FREE booze while rubbing elbows with modish elephants. I also hammer six-inch nails into small penises. Stuart knighted me as Broke-Ass King of New York. You've been warned.
