Happy Pride 2013…We at BAS are once gain bringing you the best and cheapest that pride has to offer, from cheap drinks, to free events, to give aways and more…Stay tuned all week for our pre pride line-up, as well as Pride in Pictures next week!

If you feel like hard cruising into a galaxy of other-wordly pleasures this coming Pride, acoustic and otherwise, Hard French Hearts Los Homos just might be be your interstellar destination.  Blast off, for this dance party from another star, is at 4 and goes ’til 11 at that Outer Mission Solar System outpost known as Roccapulco.

The cavalcade of stars dropping in from the Milky Way will include Seattle funk-psychedelic duo THEESatisfaction, Gossip tour mates and Portland post-punk darlings Magic Mouth, and the City’s own nine-piece neo-soul band Midtown Social, along with djs Olga T. (Mango), Taco Tuesday (I Love Cochina Tongas) and resident celestial bodies Brown Amy and Carnita.  Also descending from moonlit shores will be Dulce de Leche, Alotta Boutte, and Grace Towers, bringing interplanetary realness to the dance floor.

Normally tickets (which can be bought here) are running from $20- $65, however, our friends over at HF have given us a pair of passes to give away to one lucky reader to avoid pesky earthling things like money.  So if you’d like to board this queer flying saucer next Sunday, enter the context below!  May the French be with you.

Stephen Torres - Threadbare-Fact Finder (Editor, San Francisco)

Stephen's early years were spent in a boxcar overlooking downtown Los Angeles. From there he moved around the state with his family before settling under the warm blanket of smog that covers suburban Southern California. Moving around led to his inability to stay in one place for very long, but San Francisco has been reeling him back in with its siren song since 1999.
By trade he pours booze, but likes to think he can write and does so occasionally for the SF Bay Guardian, Bold Italic and 7x7. He also likes to enjoy time spent in old eateries, bars and businesses that, by most standards, would have been condemned a long time ago.
