Free Meat: Summer BBQ at SF Eagle

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

This weekend was pretty great. Pink Saturday, Pride Parade, record numbers of revelers celebrating throughout our fair city…. Which means today will most likely be spent on the couch with a bucket of coffee nursing an equally record-breaking hangover.

So you’ll be feeling on top of the world by Tuesday, just in time for a FREE summer BBQ at SF Eagle Bar, hosted by the good folks at PR Summit. Located by the freeway at 398 12th St. in SoMa, the Eagle has a long history as one of the city’s go-to spots for all things leather, so feel free to bust out the buckskin chaps for this one.

Lines stretched around the block when the historic Eagle reopened earlier this year.

Make sure to get there on time: the event starts at 6:00pm, which is when the complimentary BBQ starts flowing (or, you know, whatever it is that complimentary BBQ does). The PR element takes the form of a fireside chat at 7:00, so stick around and take notes if you want to. Or just hang out by the bar and see how many boilermakers you can down before the chat gives way to an hour of FREE live music.

Just kidding. Even live music is no reason interrupt a perfectly good boilermaker session.
