Who likes FREE live music? You do! That’s who! Since that’s the case, here’s the details about a rad FREE show for you all:

Commune’s next event is 7/10 at the Elbo Room starting at 9 PM. Commune is a monthly event happening event happening every second Wednesday of the month. We are anti-big industry and pro-local, and in particular, take a stance against big tobacco. We are NOT anti-smoker, just want to create awareness without preaching at people. So each month we host a different local band, DJ, designer and artist to support local.

The events are free to the public, and are a great way for local artists in San Francisco to share their work. Designers are allowed to sell their products via trunk shows and commune will not take any of their profits. We are stoked to bring Commune to San Francisco and want anyone to participate whether that be he/she attends the event, plays music or sells his/her work.

Stuart Schuffman, aka Broke-Ass Stuart, is a travel writer, poet, TV host, activist, and general shit-stirrer. His website BrokeAssStuart.com is one of the most influential arts & culture sites in the San Francisco Bay Area and his freelance writing has been featured in Lonely Planet, Conde Nast Traveler, The Bold Italic, Geek.com and too many other outlets to remember. His weekly column, Broke-Ass City, appears every other Thursday in the San Francisco Examiner. Stuart’s writing has been translated into four languages. In 2011 Stuart created and hosted the travel show Young, Broke, and Beautiful on IFC and in 2015 he ran for Mayor of San Francisco and got nearly 20k votes.

He's been called "an Underground legend": SF Chronicle, "an SF cult hero":SF Bay Guardian, and "the chief of cheap": Time Out New York.
