Last Nite: The New 2000’s Indie Dance Party at the Elbo Room

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

By now you’ve probably been to (and definitely heard of) Debaser, the monthly 90s alternative dance party at the Knock Out. It’s a crazy night with lots of flannel and Doc Marten’s and other things that remind me of jr. high. Well the fine people behind Debaser have concocted another devilishly fun dance party to tickle your most nostalgic sensibilities – Last Nite: The 2000’s Indie Dance Party.

Happening the second Friday of each month at the Elbo Room, Last Night will see DJs Emdee and Jamie Jams spinning the best Post Punk, Dance Punk, Freak Folk, Synth Pop, Nu Rave, Chillwave and Garage that ever was. You’re gonna dance so hard you’ll “sweat till you bleed” (ok I know that C&C Music Factory is an early 90s reference but come on guys, it just worked alright…).

The next one is this Friday 8/9 for all you folks not going to Outside Lands. Cover is only $5 before 11pm, so get there early enough to get your inexpensive groove on. You can also friend them on FB so you can stay up on all things Last Nite. Now I’m gonna go listen to some Blur.
