FREE Comedy Night: Late Night Basement Returns with Yael Stone from Orange is the New Black

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

After a brief hiatus and a spectacular first season, Chris Rose and company are back at Brooklyn’s Pine Box Rock Shop on Friday, October 11th for another installment of Late Night Basement. As always, you can expect an entertaining monologue from Chris Rose and a great comedic lineup, however, this time around the Basement has some new tricks up its sleeve.

If you’re a fan of the Netflix comedy-drama series, Orange is the New Black, you might not want to miss this show because Yael Stone (Lorna) will be one of two feature guests on Friday along with Nick Damici, the co-star and co-writer of the creepy Sundance horror film, We Are What We Are.

Meanwhile, you can enjoy the comedic styling of both Myq Kaplan, whom appeared on his own Comedy Central special and has performed on The Tonight Show and Last Comic Standing, and Josh Gondelman, the co-creator and co-founder of the Modern Seinfeld Twitter account, and regularly contributes to New York Magazine’s Vulture section.

Weyerbacher is the beer sponsor for the night, offering an amazing 2-for-1 beer special of their new west coast-style Last Chance IPA. It’s something you can sip on while listening to some tunes presented by DJ Treatz.

Have fun!

Enrique Grijalva - Mr. Minimum Wage

My father came, my mother saw...and I conquered. I encourage children to do drugs, I buy alcohol for teenagers, and I drink beer with the homeless. In my spare time, I attend art galleries for the FREE booze while rubbing elbows with modish elephants. I also hammer six-inch nails into small penises. Stuart knighted me as Broke-Ass King of New York. You've been warned.
