This time around our featured Broke-Ass is Indie screenwriter and director Titus Peoples. He’s working on his independent science fiction feature film entitled PRIME. Also, his answer to the “Are you a hipster?” question at the end is one of my favorite answers we’ve gotten. Read it all below:

Name: Titus Peoples, CEO of Ultimate Class Worldwide

Age: 26

Occupation: Indie screenplay writer and director.

Best money saving tip: Stay single as long as possible.

What do you refuse to spend money on?: Sex and gold diggers

Most expensive thing you’ve ever brought: A tuxedo for a charity event.

How’d you feel?: I felt famous! It feels good to look good.

Favorite cheap eats: Doug E’s Chicken and waffles (I miss this spot)

Favorite dive bar: Any place where the drinks are cheap.

Best deal you’ve gotten: The tuxedo it cost 600 and i got it for 475

Favorite free thing to do: Writing movie scripts and listen to Dipset

If you woke a millionaire what the first thing you’d buy?: My school, Digital Film Academy. I would do a joint partnership with my Dean Patrick. He’s very business minded and we’ll expand buying our own building.

Despite not having money, do you still love your life?: I have money but money doesnt buy happiness. I’m happy because I have friends and family that love me, so of course I love life!

Do you own my book?: I’ll buy it I like to read.

Best hangover cure: Bananas and orange juice believe it or not!

Are you a hipster?: On the surface absolutely..but I’m a gangster and a gentlemen at heart.

Stuart Schuffman, aka Broke-Ass Stuart, is a travel writer, poet, TV host, activist, and general shit-stirrer. His website BrokeAssStuart.com is one of the most influential arts & culture sites in the San Francisco Bay Area and his freelance writing has been featured in Lonely Planet, Conde Nast Traveler, The Bold Italic, Geek.com and too many other outlets to remember. His weekly column, Broke-Ass City, appears every other Thursday in the San Francisco Examiner. Stuart’s writing has been translated into four languages. In 2011 Stuart created and hosted the travel show Young, Broke, and Beautiful on IFC and in 2015 he ran for Mayor of San Francisco and got nearly 20k votes.
