Melvoy’s New Song About SF, “San Franfrisco” is Pretty Awesome

I know there’s already a lot of great songs about San Francisco, but it never hurts to have more. Melvoy‘s new song just came out today and I love how catchy it is. Plus, the lines “I’ve never seen so much self degradation/horrid display of public defecation” are hilarious and true. There is so much poop in SF.

Who is Melvoy? Here’s the bio:

Melvoy is the breath of San Diego native turned San Francisco dwelling Mexican-Spanish-American singer/scooter crasher Emmanuel Castro. This July Melvoy (along with some friends) will be releasing “Irrelevant Elephant”, a solo effort, that feels like a drive in a car while constantly telling us that there is a bull chasing us and if we slow down, it will catch us. Its just a little reminder that Rock+Roll hasn’t completely vanished, its just been cooped up in a box of sunshine and tequila.

Like what you hear? Melvoy’s next show is June 28th at Amnesia in SF.

Broke-Ass Stuart - Editor In Cheap

I've been called "an Underground legend": SF Chronicle , "an SF cult hero": SF Bay Guardian, and "the chief of cheap": Time Out New York, but to those familiar with my work, I'm just "that douchebag who writes books about cheap stuff and drinks a lot".
