Local filmmaker Kevin Epps gives us a portrait of what he knows best, the neighborhood in San Francisco where he grew up, Hunters Point. A complex depiction, Straight Outta Hunters Point covers the turf wars between rival gangs, the vital underground hip-hop scene, the history of how the neighborhood was transformed into a toxic dumping ground, and the everyday life of the community living there.

Live and independent stand-up showcase, highlighting five of the most accomplished Bay Area comedians monthly. Once a month, join 149 additional fans of comedy for a good o’ fashion gut check from local comedians featured on Sketchfest, Punchline, Cobbs, and Comedy Central.

ORO SALON GRAND OPENING PARTY!

The salon is unique in that we specialize in a diverse clientele of all hair types and services. Stylists do both cut and color, relaxers, extensions, updo’s and more – which is rare for the downtown area, offering a more tailored experience between stylist and client. They are offering the public the opportunity to view the recently remodeled space, enjoy free drinks and swag, and a music from a DJ set.

13th ANNUAL BIG LEBOWSKI PARTY

This year’s Big Lebowski Party gets reboot as we move into the Brava Theater for a Live! On Stage! Shadow Cast while the film plays on screen! Preformed by the guys and gals of Bawdy Caste (who do Rocky Horror every month at the Clay Theater) this show is going to be awesome!

Gloriously witty adaptation of the Broadway musical about Professor Henry Higgins, who takes a bet from Colonel Pickering that he can transform unrefined, dirty Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle into a lady, and fool everyone into thinking she really is one, too!

In the past, nearly 1,000 San Franciscans descended on Justin Herman Plaza with feather-stuffed pillows torun Braveheart-like at full speed at one another tolovingly beat the crap out of each other until the whistle blows.

MARIACHI FLOR DE TOLOACHE, CONSUMATA SONIDERA

Mariachi Flor de Toloache is the first and only established all female mariachi band founded in New York city in 2008 by Mireya I. Ramos. Originally a trio, the band has grown to 10 members.

140TH ANNUAL WESTMINSTER KENNEL CLUB DOG SHOW
TUE. 2/16 | 7:30PM @ MADISON SQUARE GARDEN
We’ve seen hundreds of dogs from across the country compete for Best in Show on the television since we were wee lads. $40 for tickets isn’t that bad considering you’ll only do this once in your life and you’ll be apart of history.

SPRITES AND JETS – SOLO EXHIBITION BY SARAH WALKER
