Bike To Work Day – A Guide to Fun, Free Shit!
In the world of riding bikes, I was a late bloomer. It wasn’t until I moved to Oakland that I really started appreciating how fun and useful they are. Bikes are basically perfect: zippy, not a bitch to park, and the side effects are having a nice ass and not destroying the environment. Sign me up!
So obviously I am looking forward to Bike To Work Day like it’s Christmas in May! For those not in the know, BTWD is this Thursday, and it’s the day where you get rewarded with treats for just hopping on your bike and getting yourself to work. Not so shabby. There is tons of free cool shit to be had, and with a little finesse you can roll away from BTWD like a total stunner.
400 Energizer Stations throughout the Bay!
Hit these up all day! Just show up with your bike and get ready to be showered in snacks, drinks, the ever coveted BTWD tote bag filled with all sorts of schwag. Some stations will also have mechanics on hand to give you a quick tune-up. Check here for maps so you can maximize your commute.
Do you have 1 too many bikes in your apartment or just no place to put it? Well this new company in SF is offering FREE bike storage for a year to SF residents. If you go to beomni.com, and sign up using the referral code “BROKESF“. They’ll actually come pick up your bike for you and store it at one of their SF facilities. Pretty dope. You gotta sign up this week though, free year deal ends Sunday May 15th.
