As you probably know I’m a humongous Leonard Cohen fan (check out our tribute shirt). So much so that I’m even throwing this party in LA on Feb. 25th (tell your friends). Since I’m such an LC fan, it of course makes sense that I’m also a huge Conspiracy of Beards fan, considering that they are a 30 piece a capella choir that only sings Leonard Cohen songs. Yes, they are as amazing as they sound.

Anyways, they played my big bar mitzvah party a little while back, so I figured I’d repay the favor by spreading the word about their new GoFundMe. They launched it today and it’s to raise money for their 2017 European Tour, Conspiracy of Beards Take Berlin, which runs May 26-June 4.

You can donate to the GoFundMe right here and learn more below.

Best Newsletter Ever!

Join our weekly newsletter so we can send you awesome freebies, weird events, incredible articles, and gold doubloons (note: one of these is not true).

We are the Conspiracy of Beards, a choir of 30 men conspiring to sing the songs of Leonard Cohen in 5-part harmony.

Leonard wrote, “First we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin,” and gave us the vision to bring this music to the land of cabarets and underground art festivals. Some of the most passionate Cohen fans are in Europe, and we have long dreamed of performing for them. We are scheduled to perform at Berlin’s beautiful Maxim Gorki Theater on June 4th, and are currently booking other shows in and around Germany. Details TBA soon.

With Mr. Cohen’s recent passing, interest in his music and message have never been greater . Fans both long-time and brand new are discovering much to love and learn from his talent for touching the human heart. We want to share Leonard Cohen’s vision of open artistic expression, spiritual reflection, and unity with the world. We hope to serve as cultural ambassadors for all that is beautiful about the United States and the Bay Area.

Transporting 30 singers to the Old World is a daunting prospect, but with your help we can make it happen. Here is our GoFundMe campaign: https://www.gofundme.com/beards-berlin

All donations to this GoFundMe drive will be used to cover travel costs. The Conspiracy of Beards is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. All donations are tax deductible and are eligible for most workplace charitable matching programs!

To get things started, we have received an offer from a generous benefactor to match the first $10,000 we raise! Donate today and your money will go twice as far!
