We wanna send you to learn about San Francisco’s Filipino Food Movement!
Join local chefs and experts as they trace Filipino cuisine from its native and colonized roots to the shores of California, from lola’s kitchen to San Francisco pop-ups. Through food and conversation, reflect on family histories and Filipino identity today. The Filipino Food Movement (FFM) has gained national attention for its work building community around Filipino cuisine and most recently for Savor Filipino, the country’s first Filipino food festival.
Cooks and educators RG Enriquez and Aileen Suzara will be in conversation with Dr. Dawn Bohulano Mabalon, an author and history professor at SFSU. The event features dishes from Astig Vegan and Sariwa.
