NY: Getting Laid…Off

Updated: Mar 13, 2009 00:37
The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

New York, New York, big city of dreams…ugh…shit ain’t so pretty these days is it?  With the economy residing in Poopsville, more and more people are getting the “it’s not you, it’s me” speech from their employers.  Yes, pink slips are raining down on New York like a goddamn ticker tape parade.  But if you’re on the receiving end of all this bad news, there’s no reason to get upset (actually that’s a total lie), there’s a club just for you!  Enter The 405 Club.

No this isn’t an enthusiasts club for those who have a special place in their hearts for Oklahoma City (405 area code), it’s a website for those of you getting the 405, aka the maximum unemployment benefit in New York State.  Sounds like a club you belong to?  Then make sure to check out their daily updates for all kinds of discounts and cheap deals throughout NYC.
