When the Double Play first opened it’s doors in 1909 it was the spot to grab a drink before or after seeing a San Francisco Seals game across the street.  That was a hundred years ago and where Seal Stadium once stood is now the Potrero Center which holds such cultural gems as Safeway, Office Depot, and the smelly 24 Hour Fitness where I try to sweat away 10 years of over indulgence.

Luckily for those of you who don’t have shit to do tomorrow (3/9), the Double Play is celebrating its centennial (a fancy word for 100 years) by serving $1 beers all day long.  And in this case, all day really is long; the DP opens each morning at 7am.  So drop in tomorrow, check out all the cool sports memorabilia, and hang out with some old guys.  There might even be some food specials and I hear the food is actually pretty good.
