1st Annual Vegan Tamale Fest at Papalote

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

While I still contend that Vegans have the worst farts ever, that doesn’t mean they’re bad people.  It just means that they’re bad people to be stuck in an elevator with.  But that aside, I know some lovely vegans and I also know some of you readers identify with this culinary handicap as well.  So I thought I’d share this with you.

Tomorrow, Papalote in the Mission is doing their first ever Vegan Tamale Festival.  While I’m pretty sure the extent of the festivities will just be people buying tamales, they seem to be excited about it; there’s already 117 “confirmed guests” on facebook.  It seems there will be two options: Organic Wildwood Tofu & Mole and Potato & Soyrizo.

These wild “festivities” start at 11pm and go until the they run out of tamales.  So get your little vegan ass dow there early if you want some of this goodness.
