Humpday Videos: Solipsism Style!

We here at Broke-Ass Stuart remember a kinder, gentler, funkier time when there was an entire network devoted to playing awesome new music videos. Men named Pinfield and women named Idalis would introduce block after block of original music videos from various genres interspersed with interviews with musicians and video directors, which would be followed by news and pop cultural updates delivered by an aging rocker in a suit and tie. Those days are gone, videos have given way to shows about dating, being from the Jersey Shore and the monotonous reality of blonde haired girls sipping lattes and texting people named Brody. Good music videos are being made though, and our mission is to bring you one a week on Wednesday to help you get over that hump

I was going to do a Top Ten Videos of the 2000s post, but then I was like “Fuck the 2000s, let’s make this interesting”, and by “make it interesting” I mean make it about me me me!  So here, in particular order are well….not really my “favorites”  but just some videos I like.  So in no particular order here are Ten Videos that Appeal to Me.

Happy 2010!

Like most kids, Ashley grew up in New Jersey. Unlike most kids the Friedman's televison set acted as a third parent, imbuing young Ashley with the stern moral values of Claire Huxtable, the dramatic tendencies of Brenda Walsh and the earnest hopefulness of the blond kid on Silver Spoons. After graduating from Sarah Lawrence Ashley made her way to the Park Slope area of Brooklyn where she can currently be found reading foreign fashion magazines, scouring ebay for vintage heels, eating out in restaurants and otherwise stretching her meager income as far as it will go in NYC.
