Cheap Sips @ 7×7’s Travel Issue Happy Hour Friday

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Finding "swimsuit" weather generally does involve a suitcase.

In honour of their latest issue on what’s great outside the forty-nine square miles, 7X7 is hosting a little cocktail this Friday afternoon at Coda.

San Franciscans love to pack up and go, and they’re hoping you’ll drop by and share your latest travelogue, pick up a some tips from four wandering souls they’ve highlighted, and tipple on $4 vodka drinks, $2 brew and snatch a few canapés.

Music will be provided courtesy of DJ Emdee of Debaser, plus a few prizes thrown in for good measure.

Free entry to all, but just as long as you are wearing your cocktail duds.  Save the Timberlands for the next trek, and rustle up something like you did the time you crashed that embassy party in Addis Ababa.

Stephen Torres - Threadbare-Fact Finder (Editor, San Francisco)

Stephen's early years were spent in a boxcar overlooking downtown Los Angeles. From there he moved around the state with his family before settling under the warm blanket of smog that covers suburban Southern California. Moving around led to his inability to stay in one place for very long, but San Francisco has been reeling him back in with its siren song since 1999.
By trade he pours booze, but likes to think he can write and does so occasionally for the SF Bay Guardian, Bold Italic and 7x7. He also likes to enjoy time spent in old eateries, bars and businesses that, by most standards, would have been condemned a long time ago.
