FREE Enchiladas and Surf Flicks for a Good Cause

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Salty wardens of the waves, Surfpulse.com is throwing another one of their Second Surf Sundays this weekend at Joxer Daly’s to help raise fund for ArtSeed.com and their continuing effort to bring youngins in to touch with artsy types.

The carrot to entice you on your journey to the damp sidewalks of West Portal is free admission and free enchiladas de pollo y queso de Yolanda. DJ Paul will be providing the audio backdrop in the style of reggae, funk and soul to plenty of melty cheese, booze and surfer flicks.

Remember to buy lots of Sierra Nevada as that one dollar goes to the group and to tip the guest bartender, Jeff, who is especially awesome for putting all those bills in the collection plate.

Stephen Torres - Threadbare-Fact Finder (Editor, San Francisco)

Stephen's early years were spent in a boxcar overlooking downtown Los Angeles. From there he moved around the state with his family before settling under the warm blanket of smog that covers suburban Southern California. Moving around led to his inability to stay in one place for very long, but San Francisco has been reeling him back in with its siren song since 1999.
By trade he pours booze, but likes to think he can write and does so occasionally for the SF Bay Guardian, Bold Italic and 7x7. He also likes to enjoy time spent in old eateries, bars and businesses that, by most standards, would have been condemned a long time ago.
